The CPSC is still investigating but states in a press release, “according to preliminary reports, the infant was in her harness and found hanging over the side of the product, caught between the Nap Nanny and the crib bumper.”
The CPSC and Baby Matters have received 22 reports of infants, most younger than 5 months old, “hanging or falling out over the side of the Nap Nanny” even when placed in the harness.
This is why, the CPSC is warning parents to only use the Nap Nanny on the floor, far away from other product–not in a crib.
If you own a Nap Nanny, read the complete report with recall orders and instructions from the CPSC.
