There have been more than 210 child drowning and non-fatal submersion incidents in pools and spas around the country this summer. And according to USA Today, near-drownings rank in the top injuries that lead to children being hospitalized over the summer.

I found your information most timely on water safety and am looking forward to your continued imput on child safety issues
thanks to people like you who want to pass on your knowledge to the less informed thanks again .
I recently saw a news story about how many Illinois public pools have not yet complied with the safety drain cover rquirement. Many pools will not improve the safety of their drains until major pool renovations take place. It’s best to make your child aware of drain entrapment or suction hazards and have them play a safe distance away. Thanks for reminding me to be more vigilant!
Happy to help Marianne! And great idea on talking to the children about the suctions.
